Yesterday I cooked something. I made an omelet a few days ago but I didn't have a blog then. So Jesse decided that he wanted me to cook his favorite childhood food, which was a strange casserole simply known as "My favorite food." I called his mom for the recipe and this was the conversation:
Me: Is it easy to cook?
Pam: Yea, it is easy.
Me: Is it easy for you or easy for me?
Pam: I think Cody [their dog] could make it.
Me: So will it be easy for me...?
It was indeed easy and it came out tasty, though it tasted distinctly like something from a kid's menu. Here was the recipe:
1 package long grained rice
2 breasts chicken
half a bottle Catalina dressing
equal amount Spiced or regular duck sauce
You cook the rice, cut the chicken and then put all ingredients in a casserole pan, mix and bake for 40 mins at 350. When done, the top layer should be browning and a little crispy.
I successfully cooked this! I would recommend it for a cold day in the winter when you want some real comfort food. Oh wait, there is no winter here!
